Introducing karllie & hayden
Karllie’s passion is food and her dream has always been to own her own food business.
After studying Food Science at the University of Otago she has enjoyed a varied career in the food service industry from product development to sales and marketing both in New Zealand and also off-shore.
Fleur Foods had been successfully developing tasty products for the food-service market since 1982 and so when the business came on the market in 2016, Karllie and her husband Hayden jumped at the chance to own it.
Running a busy household which includes two small children and also a purpose built state-of-the-art food factory is no easy feat, but something Karllie and Hayden seem to have perfected.
Karllie can be found in the kitchen developing new products, out on the road working with customers or in the office working on the business. Hayden’s role is ensuring the factory is running smoothly and producing food to the highest quality. From developing and implementing process improvement plans, ensuring food safety is adhered to and keeping the cogs turning, Hayden is the man to get stuff done.
They employ a local team which includes a number of chefs and food technologists who are constantly striving for perfection in their niche market of finger food.
The large team of dedicated foodies at Fleur Foods take great pride in delivering a delicious product. They enjoy knowing that they’re injecting a fair amount of yumminess into New Zealand, one poppa at a time!
